Bobby’s Kitten set to make 3-year-old debut at Tampa Bay Downs

Bobby’s Kitten, one of the top 2-year-olds on turf last season. is set to make his 3-year-old debut Saturday in a turf allowance on the Tampa Bay Derby undercard.

The son of Kitten’s Joy, trained by Chad Brown and owned by Ken and Sarah Ramsey, won the Grade 3 Pilgrim Stakes and was third in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf.

Bobby’s Kitten, who has yet to try dirt, closed at 46-1 in Kentucky Derby Future Wager Pool 2 and was 28-1 in Pool 1 offered in November. He was not listed for Pool 3, which closed March 1.

Javier Castellano is named to ride Bobby’s Kitten, who drew the rail in a field of 10 going a mile. Also entered are Generous Stakes winner Global View, Inaugural Stakes winner Cool Cowboy and stakes-placed filly Maria Maria.

    I am still high on Commissioner, I expect a bounce back race for his next time out. If NOT, Constitution is my next choice. A little to early to be laying money down though.
